Dear Parent or Carer
The staff at Holmer Green Senior School, wish to thank you for your ongoing support this academic year. It has been a very busy, but exciting year with all our facilities being used at capacity and a raft of trips and visits undertaken that enrich each student’s educational experience.
I would like to thank both the staff and Governors at Holmer Green Senior School for supporting the School throughout the academic year. The purpose for all of us being here is to deliver the school’s vision of wanting every student to become the best possible versions of themselves in every way. This is an ongoing activity, only made possible by us working together as a community. We are always interested to hear from individuals that can support us as a Governor.
I hope this newsletter gives you an idea of the diversity of activities on offer at the school and all of the exciting things that take place. Please encourage your child(ren) to take up these offers, or join in the various extra-curricular clubs and activities in September. There are so many skills learnt and so many friendships made through such common interests.
We are looking forward to Excellence Evening on 14 September to congratulate students for their hard work, academic success and support of their community and the Sports Dinner on 5 October to celebrate the sporting success of individuals.
We would like to wish all our Year 11 and 13 students the best of luck with their A Level, BTEC and GCSE qualifications and with their next steps into University, or Apprenticeships. Year 13 results day is 17 August and Year 11 results day is 24 August.
The first day back for Year 7 and 12 is on Tuesday 5 September 2023, and then all year groups will be in on Wednesday 6 September 2023, to start normal timetabled lessons. School uniform will be required and PE kit only required for PE lessons.
Lastly, we wish everyone a great summer break. We hope families are able to get some quality time together and we hope all students remain safe over the summer break so that we can come together as a community again in September. I leave you with the following:
