We are delighted to start organising day trips again for students this year and preparing for some residential trips in the next Academic year 2022/2023.
After half term, all Year 10 students have been invited to the Bucks Skills Show in Aylesbury where they will be able to explore different career opportunities from 120 Buckinghamshire based businesses.
Our Year's 9 and 11 Drama students are visiting the Wycombe Swan to see Blood Brothers, as part of their GCSE exam preparations.
Year 12 Psychology students are attending 'Brain Day' at the Royal Grammar School in June where they will receive a tutorial by Dr Guy Sutton, Director, MBI & Honorary Special Lecturer from the University of Nottingham Medical School.
We are also pleased that both the Year 11 and 13 students will have the chance to celebrate the end of their education here at HGSS with a Prom for each year group at Missenden Abbey.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award has received our highest number of take up this year for the Bronze Award (Year 9) and both the Silver Award (Year 10) and the Gold Award (Year 12) also have good size cohorts, with Practice Expeditions taking place in the Spring, followed by the Assessment Expeditions in the Summer Term.
Planning is already in place for further trips and residentials for next year, which will be launched over the coming weeks!
