On Tuesday 1 February 22 a group of students from the Sixth Form took part in a 5-aside football tournament at Dr Challoner’s High School and won the tournament.
Our team consisted of 6 Year 12 and 13 girls who had never played football together, however our determination and commitment led us to a win.
Our first match was against Amersham school, which we unfortunately lost 5-3, however in our second fixture, straight after, we beat Dr Challoner’s 3-0.
Our final game was against Wycombe High, which we had to win to secure the tournament. We started well, with one great goal early on, however they soon equalised, but in the last couple of minutes we scored, leaving with a 2-1 win.
It was a great opportunity to get involved and I am looking forward to more sporting chances in the future for the girls in our Sixth Form.
