Isabel Schofield

Isabel has been doing gymnastics since she was 6 years old and has been competing from the age of 8. She is now in the elite squad at Wycombe Gymnastics Academy, based in Cressex. In order to compete at her current level Isabel trains 25 hours, over 6 days, each week. A typical day sees Isabel at gym from 4pm until 8pm. 

As part of Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Isabel competes on 4 apparatus; floor, vault, beam and asymmetric bars. Competitions are held at county, regional and national levels. Isabel has just competed at the Southern Region Championships, held in Portsmouth, and won gold on beam and bars. She came sixth on floor and was third overall. For information, the southern region stretches from Milton Keynes to the Isle of Wight, and includes Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.

Isabel is now looking forward to the Quatro Cup and the English Women's Bronze, Silver, Gold Championships which are both National competitions.
